THE HAGUE, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese and Dutch businesses applauded bilateral commercial ties in The Hague, saying the economies of China and the Netherlands are highly complementary and cooperation is needed against the backdrop of rising protectionism.
During a visit here on Tuesday, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said China will take tougher measures to protect intellectual property in order to create a favorable environment for innovation.
Li made the remarks when addressing the China-Netherlands Business Forum in The Hague, which gathered over 400 business leaders and representatives from the two countries.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte during a speech highlighted the vigorous development of Dutch-Sino relations, particularly in trade and investment, two areas that continue to enjoy robust growth.

India, Shanghai to Commemorate 72nd
Independence Day in Shanghai today. The Consulate hosted
a reception at the Renaissance Shanghai Yangtze Hotel.

Nepal-China Business Forum
Prime
Minister of Nepal Khadga Prasad Oli
made the remarks as he was attending
2018 Nepal-China Business Forum in
Beijing on June 20. said his
country Nepal is embracing more
investment from China to boost its
economy.
Oli said, as China’s friendly
neighboring country, Nepal is
willing to foster economic and trade
cooperation with China, share
China’s development opportunities,
and tap Nepal’s economic potentials
so as to achieve mutual benefit and
win-win development.
Oli said, Nepal was expecting more
investment from China and to bring
in China’s fund and technology in
the fields of hydropower,
agriculture, tourism, service,
manufacturing and other industries.
He hailed the new constitution
adopted by the Nepal’s government as
bringing new opportunities for the
country’s economic development.
“Boasting comparably low labor
costs, favorable taxation policy and
investor-friendly regulations, the
new government is dedicated to
achieving social stability and
economic development. We will
provide more favorable conditions to
facilitate Chinese investors and
build win-win, secured and friendly
business environment,” added Oli.
Chairman
of China Council for the Promotion
of International Trade (CCPIT) Jiang
Zengwei said, the MoU with regard to
the cooperation under Belt and Road
Initiative signed between the
Chinese and Nepalese governments in
May, 2017 mapped out a clear
blueprint and gave impetus to the
bilateral cooperation.
“China-Nepal economic and trade
cooperation bears a promising
outlook. I propose both sides to
continue to expand bilateral trade,
further explore investment
cooperation, and foster
collaboration in tourism. CCPIT is
willing to beef up the cooperation
with our Nepalese counterparts to
enhance exchanges to fully support
bilateral trade and investment,”
added Jiang.
The forum, co-hosted by CCPIT and
Nepal’s embassy in China, attracted
around 300 participants from the
business community of both
countries.

Held a "Going Out" Business Forum
In
order to further
understand the "going out" enterprises in foreign
country investment they have met difficulties and
problems, to better study the corresponding
countermeasures, CCPIT Research Institute and Wuxi
Municipal government held an enterprise forum in January
26th focus on "go out" business. Ms.Zhao ping,
director of CCPIT International Trade Research
Institute, Mr.Gong Zhijie, the City Council vice
president of the International Chamber of Commerce, and
Hodo Group, Huaxi Group, Wuxi No.1 Textile Group, Jinmao
Foreign trade, TOKO Technology(Wuxi) Co.,Ltd and CEMEC etc 10
enterprises responsible person to attend the meeting.
Participants separately introduced the basic situation
of investment projects in Ethiopia, Kampuchea, Burma,
India, Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy
respectively, the state owned business environment and
the main problems they faced.
Most of the participating enterprises choose to invest
in Africa and Southeast Asia, mainly because of low
labor costs, two of land and tax preferences, three of
European and American tariff barriers, four of political
stability and friendly relations with China. The
enterprise encounters many difficulties in foreign
investment, one is the upstream industry chain is not
complete, mostly from domestic and imported raw
materials, two is the lack of overseas management
personnel reserve, management difficulty increases, the
three is the labor efficiency is low, the training of
skilled workers over a long period of time, four is the
strict foreign exchange control, capital allocation
inconvenience, five is developed European countries,

Consulate
General of India, Shanghai along with Government of
Gujarat jointly organized a large scale business event
to promote the upcoming “Vibrant Gujarat Investors
Summit” in Shanghai earlier today. The
business event
was attended by nearly 70 leading Chinese companies from
the Eastern China region, who had expressed strong
interest in investing in India.
It
may be noted that over the years, Vibrant Gujarat
Investors Summit has provided an important platform to
potential Chinese investors to explore investment
opportunities in Gujarat and scale up their operations
in India. Several companies from Eastern China region
including The Highly Group of Shanghai, TOKO Group
amongst others already have ongoing operations in
Gujarat. The 8th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat is
expected to witness participation from a large number of
