The meeting of the China-CEEC Business Council was held in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, on May 21. Business associations from China and Central and Eastern European countries gathered to discuss new trade growth points, green collaboration and promote further business cooperation.
Stasa Kosarac, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Foreign trade and Economic relations of BiH; Atanas Zafirov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria; Vladimir Simonak, State Secretary of Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Repbulic; Janusz Piechocinski, Former deputy Prime Minister of Poland etc high level official delegates attended the meeting and delivered keynote speeches.

Yu Jianlong, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), stated that in 2024, the trade volume between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) reached a historic high of $142.3 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 6.3% and demonstrating robust vitality. Under the framework of the China-CEEC Joint Chamber of Commerce, the CCPIT will collaborate with CEEC business associations to jointly establish branded cooperation platforms. These platforms will help enterprises from both sides actively explore new trade growth opportunities, expand trade in mechanical and electrical products such as automobiles and home appliances, as well as high-quality consumer goods, and develop trade in high value-added products like equipment manufacturing. Additionally, the two sides will cooperate in building agricultural product wholesale markets to support steady growth in trade volume between China and CEEC countries.

William WU, CEO of TOKO Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., attended the conference as a governing council member unit of the China-CEEC Business Council, participating alongside over 200 foreign guests from 18 countries. Representatives engaged in discussions on topics such as supply chain collaborative development and economic and trade cooperation. The China-CEEC Joint Chamber of Commerce Meeting is a non-profit mechanism co-initiated by China and Poland, with voluntary participation from business associations and trade investment promotion institutions of other Central and Eastern European countries.
